Privacy Policy

Auraken ("we", "us", "our") is operated by General Systems Ventures LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with Auraken via text message (SMS), Signal, Telegram, or any other supported messaging platform.

1. Information We Collect

When you message Auraken, we collect:

Messages you send — the text content of your conversations with Auraken.
Phone number or user identifier — so we can reply to you and maintain conversation context.
Conversation metadata — timestamps, message counts, and which platform you used.

We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any information beyond what you directly send us.

2. How We Use Your Information

To respond to you — your messages are processed by an AI model to generate replies.
To improve your experience — we maintain conversation history so Auraken can learn your preferences over time.
To operate the service — we use metadata to monitor service health and troubleshoot issues.

3. Improving Auraken

By default, we use anonymized conversation data to improve Auraken's responses and capabilities. Before any data enters our improvement pipeline, we strip all personally identifying information — including your phone number, name (if shared), and any details that could identify you. Only conversation patterns and content remain.

You can opt out of this at any time by texting "OPT OUT TRAINING" to Auraken, or by visiting your profile settings at auraken.org/settings. Opting out does not affect your experience — Auraken works the same either way.

4. Data Retention

We retain conversation data for 90 days, after which raw message content is automatically purged. Derived preference data (e.g., "prefers Italian restaurants") may be retained longer but does not contain your original messages.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your messages are processed by:

Anthropic (Claude AI) — for generating responses. Anthropic does not train on API inputs. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
Messaging platform providers (Signal, Telegram, Twilio) — for message delivery only, subject to their own privacy policies.

6. Data Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) for all communications. Conversation data is stored in a secured database with access restricted to service operation.

7. Your Rights

You can:

Delete your data — text "DELETE MY DATA" to Auraken and we will purge all stored conversation data associated with your phone number.
Export your data — text "EXPORT MY DATA" to request a copy of your stored data.
Opt out of training — text "OPT OUT TRAINING" or visit auraken.org/settings to toggle off anonymized data usage.
Stop the service — text "STOP" at any time to stop receiving messages.

8. Children

Auraken is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
